Patrice Moerman: Bio

Patrice Moerman

Patrice wrote her first song in late 1999, then one after another. After writing about a dozen songs, she sought the opinion of an old friend, Alan Burns, a radio programming consultant who has been in the music industry for over 30 years. He urged her to record a demo, and then a 4-song produced demo. After much positive feedback, she recorded "Following A Dream", produced by Jim Robeson, a Grammy award winning producer/recording engineer at Bias Studios, outside Washington, D.C.
The studio musicians include: Jim on bass, Paul Bell on lead guitar, Andy Haley on drums, Mike Griffith on drums, Bill Starks on Hammond organ and Luis Garay on congas and percussion. Patrice plays electric guitar and piano, does all the vocals, with Jim and Bill on some back-up vocals. The music has been described as "a true melting pot of musical expression"...rock/blues/alt.country/etc...
Nine songs won Billboard Song Contest Honorable Mentions, and the song "You Affect Me" was a finalist in the 2002 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Currently Patrice has written over 70 songs, continues to write, record, teach guitar and piano, and plays guitar and keyboards with her band "Hot Flash" and the Classic Rock/Blues Band "The Noisy Neighbors."
